✨Ingredients:

  • 1 packet strawberry or mango jelly (prepared and set)

  • 2 cups custard (thick, made with milk + custard powder + sugar)

  • 1 cup mixed fruits (banana, apple, grapes, pineapple)

  • 1 cup cake pieces or vanilla sponge

  • ½ cup whipped cream

  • 2 tbsp nuts (optional)

📝Method:

  1. Cut the set jelly into cubes and set aside.

  2. Take a glass bowl and add a layer of cake pieces at the bottom.

  3. Add a layer of custard over the cake.

  4. Add chopped fruits and jelly cubes.

  5. Repeat the layers again: cake → custard → fruits → jelly.

  6. Add whipped cream on top and spread gently.

  7. Garnish with nuts or extra fruit.

  8. Chill for 1 to 2 hours before serving.

👉Tips:

  • Use chilled custard for better layering.

  • Do not use very juicy fruits like fresh kiwi or fresh pineapple (they spoil dairy).

  • You can skip whipped cream if you want it lighter.

⁉FAQs:

Can I make it a day before?
Yes, trifle tastes even better when chilled overnight.

Which fruits are best?
Banana, apple, grapes, and canned pineapple. Avoid fresh kiwi with custard.

Does the cake get soggy?
A little, but that makes the trifle soft and perfect.
